Conference Program

The IPIC 2026 program is structured across three parts: the Pre-Conference in Albi, the Main Conference in Bordeaux, and a series of Social Events accompanying the conference period. You can click the links below to move directly to the corresponding program details.

Pre-Conference at IMT Mines Albi

June 5 - 6, 2026 (limited to 50 participants)

The IPIC 2026 pre-conference will take place on June 5–6, 2026 at IMT Mines Albi, following the macro-program available below. Important: Participation is limited to 50 attendees.

  • Friday, June 5 will be organized in two parts. In the morning, students and non-students will split into two parallel tracks: doctoral students will receive coaching to prepare 3-minute pitches presenting their PhD research, while non-students will participate in a collaborative workshop dedicated to identifying and shaping future research and innovation projects in the Physical Internet domain. In the afternoon, all participants will reconvene to attend the students’ pitch presentations, fostering discussion and networking opportunities across the community.

  • Saturday, June 6 will be dedicated to experiencing serious games for Physical Internet education, including virtual reality-based experiences and web-based applications. No prerequisites are required to participate.

Please note that, to facilitate logistics, a dedicated bus transfer will be organized on Saturday late afternoon to transport pre-conference participants from Albi to Bordeaux ahead of the main conference.

Main Conference at KEDGE Business School

June 8 - 10, 2026 

The main conference will take place from June 8 to 10, 2026 at KEDGE Business School in Bordeaux, according to the macro-program available here:

Social Events

Sunday daytime, June 7 – Optional Excursion: Arcachon Bay 

We are pleased to offer an exceptional optional full-day excursion on Sunday, June 7 to the Arcachon Bay. This unique experience to discover an exceptional ecosystem featuring oyster farms and the tallest dune in Europe will include:

  • Morning visit to an oyster farm and introduction to oyster farming
  • Tasting by the bay (oysters, shrimp, pâté, whelks, and white wine)
  • Boat tour of the Arcachon Bay

Important: The excursion is limited to the first 60 registered participants.

Sunday evening, June 7 – Reunion Party: Bar in Town

Later in the evening, join us for a relaxed reunion party in town. This informal gathering will provide a friendly setting to reconnect with colleagues, meet conference participants, and enjoy the lively atmosphere of Bordeaux ahead of the conference opening.

Monday, June 8 – Welcome Reception: Bordeaux City Hall

The official social programme will open with a welcome reception at Bordeaux City Hall, an emblematic venue in the heart of the city. This reception will offer a warm and elegant occasion to celebrate the opening of the conference and welcome participants in a distinguished local setting.

Tuesday, June 9 – Gala Dinner & Award Ceremony: Château Lafitte

The gala dinner will take place at Château Lafitte, offering an evening of fine dining in a refined and memorable setting. This special event will also host the IPIC 2026 Award Ceremony, during which outstanding contributions will be recognized and celebrated. Bringing participants together in a convivial atmosphere, the evening will mark one of the highlights of the conference’s social programme.

Wednesday, June 10 – Industrial Visits: Various Local Companies

To conclude the programme, participants will have the opportunity to join several industrial visits to selected local companies. These visits will provide valuable insights into regional industrial practices and innovation, while strengthening the connection between academic discussion and real-world application.
