For the Main Conference in Bordeaux

Location and attractiveness

Bordeaux is a major city in South-West France (approximately 260,000 inhabitants), and the capital of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. Located along the Garonne River, about 50 km from the Atlantic coast, Bordeaux is internationally recognized for both its cultural heritage and its economic dynamism. The historic city center of Bordeaux has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2007, noted for its exceptional urban and architectural ensemble dating from the 18th century. The city offers a unique combination of historical landmarks, vibrant cultural life, gastronomy, and world-renowned vineyards. The conference sessions hosted by KEDGE Business School will take place at the Talence Campus, located in the immediate vicinity of Bordeaux city center and well connected through public transportation networks.

Transportation

Bordeaux is easily accessible via the Bordeaux–Mérignac Airport, located approximately 25 minutes from the Talence Campus by taxi or public transportation. High speed train (LGV) connects Paris to Bordeaux in 2 hours. Many low-cost carriers offer connecting service from major European cities to Bordeaux and Toulouse airports. The campus is directly connected to Bordeaux city center through the tramway network, in particular via Tramway de Bordeaux Line B, which provides convenient access between the historic center and the university district (Talence – Pessac – Gradignan). Several bus lines also serve the campus area, allowing quick connections to major accommodation zones within the metropolitan area. Most locations in Bordeaux city center are easily reachable by tram or bus within 20 to 30 minutes.

Hotels

Bordeaux is a very popular tourist destination; therefore, participants are strongly advised to book their accommodation as early as possible. A wide range of hotels is available both in the immediate vicinity of the Talence Campus and in Bordeaux city center, with direct access to the campus via Tram Line B or bus services. Please find below a selection of hotels recommended by the Organizing Committee.
